Mini Pantry – Maxi Impact
If you’ve driven by the church on Lapeer in the past few months, you’ve probably noticed a wonderful new addition to our ministry – a Little Free Pantry offering food and personal items to anyone in need. During the fall, Pastor and several members joined forces to bring this to fruition, and it is proving to be a beautiful way to serve our neighbors.
The concept is simple – donations from Grace members, or anyone who feels moved to give, will stock the pantry so that those in need may help themselves. The Social Ministry committee has general oversight of the Pantry, and our intent is to keep guidelines to a minimum. We are asking members of Grace to participate in this ministry in two ways: Donate in-kind items: Nonperishable food; personal hygiene items; paper goods; diapers, etc.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
Vision Statement
Our vision is to be faithful servants, living by God's Word and supporting others to do so while extending to all the teachings of Jesus Christ by reaching out to neighbors and strangers, seeking justice while constantly striving for and supporting diversity in our congregation.
