Worship at Grace Lutheran Church
Vivian Johnson's latest labor of love, eight new quilts for those in need. Vivian has created more than 1000 quilts. Her latest creations were given to the Homeless Angels shelter.
We are a biblically-based, Christ-centered church offering God's word and sacraments. We invite you to worship with our congregation and to participate in our various ministries of education and service.
We believe the church is alive as we draw together people from many backgrounds and reach out to serve human need and longing.
Visitors to Grace Lutheran almost always mention how warm and friendly our members are. Our congregation may not be large in number, but we are big in spirit. We are a diverse group of people, united in faith, helping each other, as we are all in this together.
WORSHIP
Weekly Sunday service with Holy Communion at 10:30 a.m., in a barrier-free setting. Our services utilize traditional Lutheran liturgy, in living, fresh settings. We value the reading of the Bible, the preaching of God's living word, and expressing our joy through song.
SERVICE
Pastoral ministry with all persons, especially those with special needs and in crisis.
Our members reach out to help the community by volunteering and contributing to groups such as
- Advent House weekend meal program
- Personal Needs Closet
- Greater Lansing Food Bank
- Crop Walk for Hunger
- Food Pantry on Lapeer Street
Our church generously supports mission development and ministries of service and justice worldwide.
